- The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to Bitwise Ideas. This combined synopsis/solicitation is posted with the intent of awarding to Bitwise Ideas, 127 Oak Ave, Fredricton, NB, Canada. These items are proprietary products and services of the vendor and there are no known authorized resellers of the required items. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 511210. The requirement is for the following GeoLab items: 25 GeoLab subscriptions/maintenance for current NGA licenses; 17 GeoLab new licenses (including maintenance); 3 GeoLab upgrades with subscription/maintenance. BRAND NAME JUSTIFICATION: NGA has a requirement for the brand name software licenses and annual software maintenance coverage as outlined above. All of the products referenced in this posting are proprietary products of Bitwise Ideas. Bitwise Ideas is the sole producer of GeoLab software and annual maintenance. NGA is expanding an existing system that currently utilizes Bitwise Ideas software and no other brand of software will seamlessly integrate into NGA's existing system. The GeoLab software suite is the only software that fulfills the form, fit, and function requirements of the NGA at this time. Period of performance for software maintenance is expected to be approximately 5 Sep 2010 through 4 Sep 2011. Delivery is FOB Destination. Total costs shall include any shipping and handling charges. Please respond as soon as possible but no later than 1:00 pm Central, August 20, 2010. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, with no obligation to the vendor by the Government. Refurbished items are not acceptable for this requirement.
