- The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), Bethesda, MD has a requirement for a multiphoton fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy (FLIM) upgrade for a Zeiss LSM-710. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. It will be the responsibility of the contractor to check the website for the issuance of any amendments/changes to the solicitation. Quotes are being requested, a written solicitation will not be issued. This Request for Quotation (RFQ) incorporates all provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-43. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 423690 - Other Electronic Parts & Equipment Merchant Wholesalers with a size standard of 500 employees and 334516 - Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing, with a size standard of 500 employees. This proposed combined synopsis/solicitation is a 100% small business set-aside. The Government requires the best commercial warranty offered to the general public and/or to the vendor's best customer. This requirement is for a firm fixed-priced purchase order for the following Contract Line Item Numbers (CLIN) outlined as follows: CLIN, Description, and Quantity. CLIN 0001 FLIM Upgrade system Qty: 1 Point of Delivery: FOB Destination Location: Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) 4301 Jones Bridge Road Bethesda, MD 20814-4799 Minimum Specifications: The following requirements for the multiphoton FLIM upgrade. - must include dual signal channels with less than 900 femtosecond time channel width and count rates up to 10 MHz in each signal channel. - Must include dual detector channels with greater than 1 mm active area, response 300 to 730 nm, with 45% peak quantum efficiency and 120 picosecond IRF. - Includes software to operate the system and analyze the data. NOTE: The fluorescence lifetime imaging subsystem for installation on the existing Zeiss LSM-710 has been 'FLIM prepared' by Zeiss. The Government will award to the responsible offeror whose offer conforms to the combined synopsis/solicitation, is most advantageous to the government, based on technical specifications, price, and delivery and other factors may be considered (e.g. warranty). Offerors must provide specifications and/or literature documentation of the FLIM upgrade. Also, offerors must include certification that components are compatible with the Zeiss model LSM-710. All contractors must be registered in the Central Contractors Register (CCR), http://www.ccr.gov, and be registered with the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA), http://orca.bpn.gov.
