This contract action was accomplished using other than competitive procedures because a statute exists that expressly authorizes or requires that the acquisition be made from a specific source or through another agency (FAR 6.302-5); specifically, Sole source awards under the 8(a) Program. Per FAR 6.302-5 a J&A is not required for this award. THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS PROJECT WAS SOLE SOURCED TO AN 8(A) CONTRACTOR. This notice is being posted in compliance with the transparency and accountability requirements associated with the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Solicitation W912EK-10-R-0063 was awarded under contract W912EK-10-C-0112, Waubonsie Creek, Section 519, Illinois River Basin, Oswego, Kendall County, IL. The work includes, but is not limited to grading, shaping, and placing erosion protection for stream banks; placing field stone, riprap, and boulders to construct rock ramps riffles and bank slop protection; clearing and grubbing; modification of existing spillway and dam from within stream; debris removal and disposal; and seeding.
