- This amended pre-solicitation notice hereby replaces the previous notice, changing the set-aside from HUBZone to Competitive 8(a) as follows: The Social Security Administration (SSA) has a requirement for a contractor to provide services to support SSA's Print Mail Operation at the SSA Headquarters complex in Woodlawn, MD. The Print Mail Operation is responsible for the printing and inserting of approximately 12 million Social Security Number (SSN) cards and public notices. Additionally, the Print Mail Operation provides support to the development community by printing programmatic system output reports. SSA anticipates award of one (1) firm fixed-price contract, with a 12-month base period of performance, to include a two-month phase-in period, and four (4) one-year option periods. This requirement is being conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation. This requirement is being set-aside for competition among eligible participants in the 8(a) Business Development Program. In order to be eligible for contract award, the offeror must be an eligible 8(a) participant as of the initial closing date for receipt of proposals as specified in the solicitation. The applicable North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) and size standard is 323119 and 500 employees. Request for Proposal number SSA-RFP-11-1002 is anticipated for release on or about August 25, 2010 and will be available for downloading through this FedBizOpps website and www.fedconnect.net.
