Description
SOLICITATION AND DRAWINGS THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR REQUIRMENT TO REPLACE CHILLE AND THREE COOLING TOWERS AT BUILDING 20A, DEFENSE SUPPLY CENTR, COLUMBUS, OHIO The Defense Logistics Agency, Defense Supply Center, Columbus Ohio has a requirement to Replace Chiller and three (3) Cooling Towers in Building 20A at Defense Supply C enter Columbus, Ohio. The contractor shall furnish all plant, labor, equipment, materials, supplies, testing and supervision required in performing all operations in conjunction with this project in strict accordance with the specifications, contract drawing No.4-150 (6 sheets), complete and subject to the terms and provisions of the solicitation. Th is summary is for the purpose of general information and is not intended to include or describe every feature or item or to define the scope of work. It is expected that prospective contractors will attend the site visit and thoroughly familiarize themselves with the project prior to submitting a proposal. CONTRACTOR QUALIFICATIONS: This project requires the use of specialized skills and equipment. Contractors submitting offers for this project shall have a valid license to install HVAC and refrigeration systems with the State of Ohio, and shall have a minimum of three (3) years experience in the HVAC installation field. All contractors shall submit with their offer a written qualification and work experience statement and references for projects satisfactorily completed within the last two (2) years, demonstrating the contractor is qualified and experienced to perform the specialized work. M. The written qualifications and work experience statement shall be certified and signed by the principle of the contracting firm. Details of workmanship shall be in accordance with the highest standards and best practices of the respective trade as recognized by respective contractor's association. Only qualified tradesmen or mechanics shall be assigned to do the work required by this contract. At no time shall the work be performed by apprentices or laborers without the supervision of a journeyman or higher lever supervision. This procurement is being issued on an UNRESTRICTED basis for full and open competition The award will be a firm fixed contract. Award will be based on the lowest evaluated price of the technically acceptable proposal meeting all of the solicitation requirements from responsible offerors with acceptable past performance. There will be one award made for this requirement. Award may be made without discussions. The solicitation will close at 1:00 PM (Eastern) on 07 September 2010. A site visit is scheduled on 23 August 2010 at 10:00 A.M. eastern time. Please contact Barbra Bocsy at 614-692-3650 or barbara.bocsy@dla.mil to register to attend. Access to the Defense Supply Center, Columbus, Ohio is restricted. All individuals wishing to attend the site visit will be required to request access no later than 24 hours prior to the site visit. Those individuals wishing to attend must provide their name and corporate affiliation to the contracting officer by fax or email. Individuals will need to enter the Center through the Visitor Processing Center and valid federal or state issued photo identification will be required. Prospective contractors must be registered in the DoD Central Contractors Registration (CCR) database and Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) database prior to award of a Government contract. Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the CCR or ORCA databases will render the contractor ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number.
