- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for the purchase of a commercial supply item prepared with the format in FAR 12.603. It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information provided. The Department of the Air Force 482nd LGC at Homestead Air Reserve Base, FL intends to contract for a MAKO Air Breathing System for the Homestead Fire Department at Homestead ARB, FL 33090. This is a small business set-aside. We anticipate a single award contract using North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code of 541380. The purchase request number is F5E3FD0061A001 and the solicitation is issued as a request for quotation FA6648-10-Q-0012. A fixed price contract will be awarded. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer is most advantageous to the Government. The following factors will be used to evaluate offers: (1) Lowest price (2) Ability to accomplish warranty and or other needed repairs in a timely manner. All potential sources must obtain a DUNS number and register in the Central Contract Registration (CCR) at https://www.bpn.gov/ccr/default.aspx. Offerors must also register on the ORCA website at https://orca.bpn.gov/ for online representations and certifications. Contractor shall deliver and train personnel on one (1) MAKO Breathing Air Trailer. It shall be diesel driven and include the following: four stage, air cooled compressor, 15 hp, two cylinder, water-cooled diesel engine with electric start, 20 gal fuel tank, stainless steel gauge panel including (compressor inter and final stage pressure gauge, oil pressure gauge, hour meter, high air temp switch with warning light, air pressure switch with light, keyed on/off switch, emergency stop button, fuel level gauge), purification system, CO/moisture indicator kit, CO monitor with automatic calibration, automatic condensate drain with muffler reservoir, two 6000 psi ASME air storage cylinders, compressor/fill panel to include (compressor gauges and controls, high pressure regulator with inlet and outlet gauges, fill control valve and gauge, two bank cascade control with to and from valves, bypass valve) two position, front loading, containment fill station with safety interlock, dual axle trailer, enclosed steel canopy with louvered doors, storage for ten (10) spare SCBA cylinders, spare tire and rim, retractable tongue jack, ball hitch. Vendor must comply with OSHA Standard 29 CFT 1910.1200 and US EPA Pamphlet 560/5-85-08. Delivery must occur NLT 10 weeks after receipt of order. All offers are due by 1 PM, 28 Aug 2010.
