- Amendment 0001 13 Aug 2010 POSTING Amendment 0001. POSTING Invitation for Bid/Solicitation, Specification number 12078-10-001, Drawings, Wage Determination and Bid Bond form. A SITE VISIT is scheduled for 17 August 2010 at 10:00AM CST. Please see instructions in solicitation, Section L. BID OPENING date is 01 September at 2:00PM CST at the address listed in block 7 of the solicitation, page 1. BID BOND is required. This project consists of providing all material, labor, and equipment to perform demolition and construction work for the Consolidated ABC Operations Center renovation in Building 676, at Arnold Air Force Base Tennessee. Some of the major items of work are listed below: 1. Demolition: Includes demolition of existing equipment, interior finishes, ceiling tile/grid, lighting fixtures, HVAC grilles, and other miscellaneous items. Existing materials to be demolished, treated and disposed of are assumed to contain asbestos and wall paint is assumed to contain lead paint. 2. Manufactured metal casework, residential casework, and other miscellaneous furniture, in accordance with the drawings. 3. Construction of new walls. 4. Construction of new toilet room. 5. Lighting and power. 6. HVAC systems including DDC controls for one unit, as indicated on the drawings. 7. Suspended acoustical ceiling. 8. Painting. 9. Fire alarm. 10. Communications. 11. Access floor. 12. Sprinkler system design and construction by a licensed Fire Protection Engineer including replacement of exterior sprinkler main and building water service main. 13. Widening and repair of exterior sidewalks. 14. Exterior handrails and pipe bollards to aid in building accessibility. 15. Other incidental tasks and repair necessary to complete the work as required by the specifications and drawings. Performance period is 224 calendar days following Notice to Proceed. Invitation for Bid will be available on or about 27 Jul 2010. Bid opening date will be on or about 31 August 2010. Construction Magnitude: Between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Invitation for Bid (IFB) will only be available electronically at the FBO website. No hardcopies, faxes, or emails will be available. Please register as a source to be notified of IFB Amendments, Clarifications, etc. However, it is the responsibility of contractors (even those registered as a source) to check the FBO website frequently to ensure they have all available information.
