- Description
- NASA/GRC has a requirement for an annual and maintenance service agreement for theBruker D8 Discover and Bruker D8 Advance X-ray instruments. NASA/GRC intends to purchase the service agreement from Bruker AXS Incorporated, 5465East Cheryl Parkway, Madison, WI 53711-5373. Bruker is the manufacturer. The servicedocumentation is proprietary and the major components and replacement parts can only besupplied by Bruker. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the SimplifiedAcquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13.The Sole Source is under authority of FAR reference 13.106-1(b)1.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local timeon August 19, 2010. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for thepurpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government.All contractual or technical questions must be submitted in writing (email or fax) toIngrid Pace not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on August 18, 2010.
