- The Social Security Administration (SSA) plans to issue a solicitation for the services of a Contractor to provide all labor, materials and supervision to independently oversee and monitor the water treatment program at SSA?s Metro West Building, 300 North Greene Street, Baltimore, Maryland. The Contractor shall perform extensive water testing to track various water parameters and provide consulting services to effectively monitor the progress of the water treatment program at this facility. The Contractor shall be responsible for all laboratory analysis. The Contractor will not be required to supply water treatment chemicals, and must be independent of any water treatment chemical or equipment supplier. Security clearances will be required in the performance of this contract. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 541620 with a size standard of $7 million. SSA! will conduct this acquisition in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. SSA anticipates this competition, restricted exclusively for small business concerns, will result in one firm fixed price purchase order with a base year and three option years, if exercised, with an anticipated start date of September 29, 2010. SSA anticipates the release of solicitation (SSA-RFQ-10-1800) on or about August 17, 2010.
