Description
Justification for other than full and open competition THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS NOT A NOTICE OF SOLICITATION ISSUANCE. Any formal solicitations will be announced separately. It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information provided. The Department of the Air Force 482nd LGC at Homestead Air Reserve Base, FL intends to contract for the removal and replacement of hangar paint booth doors at Homestead ARB, FL 33090. All business sizes, to include small business and the sub-categories of small businesses, were looked at during our market research phase. We anticipate a single award contract using North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code of 332321. A fixed price contract will be awarded. All potential sources must obtain a DUNS number and register in the Central Contract Registration (CCR) at https://www.bpn.gov/ccr/default.aspx. Offerors must also register on the ORCA website at https://orca.bpn.gov/ for online representations and certifications. This requirement will be sole source, see attached J&A. Contractor shall fabricate and install a door system to replace the existing reverse clamshell doors so as to match current paint booth seal. Replacement doors must also engage safety interlocks and meet negative pressure requirements while containing vapor and particulate. The full dimensions of the current door system are approximately 55'7 ¾" wide x 23'2" high x 8-12" deep. There is a surface mounted guide track. The new door system should have: two (2) integrated motor drive units, ½ hp, complete with controls, manual disconnects, brakes, and limit switches, two (2) voltage/phase/overload protection devices and two (2) tractor tow tabs for operation in the event of power failure. The new door system should also have filter racks for 24" filters, top guide frame and bracing and two (2) warning alarms. Existing door power will be utilized. All structural framing will be galvanized and one (1) personnel door with interlock switch will be included. Questions regarding this acquisition should be addressed to stephenb.cox@homestead.af.mil. Please note that official information concerning this acquisition will be provided only by the Contracting Officer or the Buyer. Any information received from other sources should not be relied upon as official acquisition information
