- DTFAEN-11-R-00006 Janitorial Services (Birmingham, AL) The purpose of this requirement is to seek a qualified vendor to provide janitorial services at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) and base building (approximately 15,000 square feet), in Birmingham, Alabama, per attached statement of work. This requirement is offered to all qualified, responsive concerns. Offers will be considered using a tiered order of precedence. (1st - 8(a) certified small businesses, 2nd - Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses, 3rd- all other Small Businesses, last - Large Businesses.) Each tier will be evaluated using the procedure outlined in Section M. A determination of insufficient competition or unreasonable price will be made before the next tier is evaluated. Directions on the tiered evaluation are in Section M of the solicitation. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 561720, Janitorial Services. All companies submitting a proposal must be registered and active in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Data Base at http://www.ccr.gov. The solicitation package and all attachments can be found on the FAA Opportunities website at https://faaco.faa.gov. Click on Current Announcements and then select "Southern Region" for the By Region box. Site Visit information will be posted at a later date. Please check back for additional information. The FAA intends to award one (1) firm fixed price contract with a base period and four one-year options. Estimated start date for performance: October 1, 2010. Please see Section "L" of the solicitation for complete proposal submission information. Offers are due by Tuesday, August 31, 2010 by 4:30 pm (Eastern Daylight Time).
