- On or about August 30, 2010, the National Park Service will be issuing Request for quotes to perform the conservation of the painted bronze finishes on the interior cast iron elements in Federal Hall National Monument located in New York, NY. Contractor shall furnish all labor and material necessary to complete the work of the contract following the methodologies and extent set forth in their technical proposal. Work involves: cleaning all painted bronze finishes, inpainting of areas of abrasion on balcony rails, stair balusters and cast iron doors. The solicitation(s) will be issued electronically (paper copies of this solicitation will not be made available) on the Department of Interior's National Business Center (NBC) website at http://ideasec.nbc.gov and www.fbo.gov. Solicitation documents will be available in Microsoft Word, HTML, TIFF and Adobe PDF formats. Contractors wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at http//ideasec.nbc.gov and www.fbo.gov. This service is provided for convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee of notification. Plan holders will be required to visit this website periodically to check for amendments and other changes to the contract documents. No other notification will be sent. Scope of work: Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, transportation and supervision necessary to perform the conservation of the painted bronze finishes on the interior cast iron elements in Federal Hall Monument. Range: $25,000 - $100,000 The NAICS code and size standard for this procurement are 332812 and 500 employees. The estimated time for completion is 90 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed. A firm-fixed price contract will be awarded. Award will be made upon price and non price related factors such as experience, past performance and qualifications. To receive consideration, Contractor must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration and have completed the Online Representations and Certifications (ORCA). Contractor must provide Dunn and Bradstreet number with quote. This solicitation will be issued as a small business set aside pursuant to the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program (FAR Part 19.10). This procurement is set aside for Small Business in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 19.502-2. All questions must be in writing and may be submitted to Gateway National Recreational Area, Roselyn Sessoms, 210 New York Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10305 or emailed to roselyn_sessoms@nps.gov.Telephone requests will not be accepted. Requests being sent via mail must contain a verifiable return address or they will not be opened.
