- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE Notice of intent to award a Firm Fixed Price Sole Source contract to: Telonics, Inc, 932 E. Impala Avenue, Mesa, Arizona 85204. Telonics Inc will provide Bull Moose radio collars with the following specification to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS). Telonics Inc. Gen 4 GPS TGW-4780H radio-collars with CR-2A timed release device. These are moose GPS radio collars with ARGOS data uplink.Quanity 8Collar Specifications: Casting for moose - 2000 grams 0.8 watts 200 sec rep rate, 32 bytes GPS - 3 location per day @ 0800, 1600 and 2400 UTC ARGOS - 2, 5 hour on times every 6 days, starts at 0030 &1830 UTC CONVENTIONAL - on 12 hours off 12 hours, Starts at 1600 UTC Mortality option on at 12 hours Total life = circa 3 years and 253 days for GPS Total life = 67 months for VHF Frequencies 166.944, 166.956, 166.969, 166.981, 166.994, 167.006, 167.019, 167.031Minimum operating temperature -40 deg CTelonics Data Converter (TDC) compatibleUnder authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii), The USFWS, Alaska Regional Office has deployed GPS-satellite telemetry collars to assist with the monitoring of important wildlife species. This is an ongoing cooperative study that requires continuity throughout the study period. This Notice of Intent is not a request for Expressions of Interest (EOIs), proposals or quotations. This supply will be procured under Firm Fixed Price Supply in accordance with FAR 12 procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized under FAR 6.302-3(a)(2)(ii).
