- Solicitation SF-1449 Form This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for the acquisition of commercial items prepared in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12 and Part 13, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The Solicitation Number is SSA-RFQ-R07-10-1062. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-44. The associated North American Industrial Classification Code (NAICS) for this requirement is 334220, with a size standard of 750. The selected offeror must comply with the following commercial item terms and conditions as well as any addenda to these clauses. The FAR clauses and provisions that apply to the acquisition are 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial Items, FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items. FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders - Commercial Items. In addition, offerors must submit a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items with its offer. Applicable terms and conditions, and representations and certifications are attached. Please be advised that prospective offerors may access www.bpn.gov to complete Online Representation and Certifications (ORCA). Set Descrition/Requirement for KC IVT Studio 3: Multiple area for broadcasting: Main desk area with background, sitting and/or standing area. Both set areas need to be on a carpeted, 8 inch high platform with plenty of sitting or walking area. A. The new set will reside in "Studio A" of our new building. The dimensions are 35 feet by 40 feet. The set can not take-up the entire space due to green screen shots (10 feet Green Screen will hang along one wall). Design an L-Shaped background with two different areas for broadcasting. B. The Desk set area: Big enough to seat at least two people, maximum of four. Rough dimensions are 9 feet by 4 feet by 30 inches. A combination of materials for the construction of the desk would include, but not limited to, wood, wood veneers, metals, aluminum, plastics, and acrylic. The top should have a plexi-glass type surface to surface mount 3 LCD monitors in the desk. One 19-20 inch LCD monitor centered and flush mounted on the desk. Two separate 19-20 inch LCD monitors on either side, one for each instructor to use as their computer screen (flush mounted). The desk should have a pull out ledge to place one of the keyboards while the other keyboards could reside on the desktop. Cup holders or pull out trays on the outer portions of the set to place drinks without taking up desktop space. C. The background set pieces need to be a minimum of eight feet high and a maximum of twelve feet high. The capability to change the color of the background panels is necessary by using DMX controllable LED lighting and placed behind the background. The background surfaces should contain a mixture of materials, such as printed SSA/Studio 3 Logos, accent lights, columns, backlit materials, wood, etc. D. Sitting set area:Three club type chairs, neutral color, vinyl type materials. Carpeted 8 inch high platform with plenty of sitting or walk around area. E. DMX Controllable LED lighting for a backlit background. A wash bank fitted with 54, 1 watt-LEDs and features full RGB color mixing with DMX control. It is suited for both indoor and outdoor entertainment and architectural wash applications. Each unit consists of 3 pods of 18 ultra bright LEDS arranged in circles. RGB color mixing in each of the three pods can be controlled individually. F. Construction, Freight, Installation and/or Set-up, Labor, Travel and Per Diem, will be included in the total cost. G. Sample drawings and or graphical renderings are required of the proposed set, and will be included in the total cost. H. The set will be delivered to the New IVT Studio Building, December 15, 2010. If the new IVT Studio is not completed, the set will be delivered to the SSA Warehouse in Kansas City.
