- Statement Of Work This solicitation is for the construction of a greenhouse, Item A, and two attached steel frame building for use as a head house (work/storage area), Item B, and seed lab, Item C, at the East Texas Plant Materials Center (ETPMC) in Nacogdoches, Texas. Bids will be submitted with a base price for each item, A, B, and C, on a reinforced concrete foundation that meets national, state and local requirements and building codes for the type of construction proposed. All bid proposals will include optional pricing for finishing the building as identified in the bid proposal sheet. There will be a 12' long by 30' wide covered breezeway connecting the head house to the greenhouse, and it is to be considered part of the head house, Item B. The primary intent of this project is to construct a 30'x48' greenhouse, a 30'x24' head house with a 12'x30' covered breeze way connecting the two structures, and a 24'x 28' seed lab at the ETPMC in Nacogdoches, Texas. The attached floor plan shows the layout of the buildings and is for bidding purposes only. Upon acceptance and before proceeding to work, the contractor will provide a set of plans that are sealed by a professional engineer, registered in the state of Texas. Particular plans shall be for this specific addition and meet all national, state, and local requirements and building codes for the type of construction proposed. Period of Performance for this project will be from 25 Sep 2010 or date of award, whichever is later; through January 30, 2011.
