- Description
- The Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Program Office intends to award an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to Pratt & Whitney, Military Engines, East Hartford, CT for the F135 Component Improvement Program (CIP). The proposed orders, to be issued under the CIP contract, will procure new and refurbished hardware test assets and the effort necessary to resolve safety and readiness problems; maintain specification performance; redesign low reliability parts; forecast hardware wear-out rates; life limits, and problems before they occur in opperational service; and develop quality design changes. The CIP order deliverables will include, Engineering change proposals, operating instructions and limits, maintenance instructions, rework/repair procedures, life limits, reliability, and maintainability predictions, technical reports, specification change notices, test reports, and Earned value cost reports. The anticipated award date for the CIP contract is January 2011.
