- The contractor shall perform Validation/Formal Qualification Testing for the TRIDENT II MK 98 MOD 6 FCS 944 Rev 1 Software delivery and perform Software Design, Implementation, System Integration and Verification Testing for the TRIDENT II MK 98 Mod 7 FCS 844 Rev 1 Software delivery. Negotiations will be conducted with General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (GDAIS), Pittsfield, MA. GDAIS is the sole manufacturer of the TRIDENT (II) D5 Strategic Weapon System (SWS) Fire Control System and Attack Weapons Control System and the only source with the in-depth knowledge, expertise, and in-place capability to perform the required effort.
