- Article I.SCOPE OF WORK 1.PROJECT DATA: TITLE: Modify Patient Rooms for Patient Lifts BUILDING/FACILITY: Various rooms in buildings 2,4,62 and 78 at the Bedford VAMC JOB ORDER CONTRACT NUMBER: 518-10-108SPH PROJECT REQUEST NO: ----- COTR: Ramzy Harb REQUESTOR: Engineering CONSTRUCTION DURATION: 90 Days 2.GENERAL SCOPE: Furnish all labor, materials, and supervision to perform work to facilitate modifications in patient rooms to prepare the areas for patient lift installations as required by specifications. 3.DETAILED REQUIREMENTS: A. Contractor preparing rooms for ceiling lifts will be required to work closely to establish a work schedule with the ceiling lift installation company to ensure smooth transitioning between phases. B.Work includes general construction, alterations, mechanical and electrical work, utility systems, necessary demolition and construction at the specified locations to include the following: Room Locations and Special Instructions: Building 2 / Room 363: Relocate Fire Suppression Sprinkler one (1) ceiling tile toward the west in accordance with minimum distance from sprinklers to side of ceiling lift track; as required by NFPA fire code. Position sprinklers to avoid obstructions to discharge of sprinkler. Building 4 / Room 170: Relocate HVAC diffuser two (2) ceiling tiles toward the east and one (1) ceiling tile toward the north. Building 4 / Room 164: Relocate Fire Suppression Sprinkler one(1) ceiling tile toward the north in accordance with minimum distance from sprinklers to side of ceiling lift track; as required by NFPA fire code. Position sprinklers to avoid obstructions to discharge of sprinkler. Building 4 / Room 134: Relocate two(2) Fire Suppression Sprinklers two(2) ceiling tiles toward the north in accordance with minimum distance from sprinklers to side of ceiling lift track; as required by NFPA fire code. Position sprinklers to avoid obstructions to discharge of sprinkler. Building 4 / Room 238: Relocate two (2) Fire Suppression Sprinklers one (1) ceiling tile toward the north in accordance with minimum distance from sprinklers to side of ceiling lift track; as required by NFPA fire code. Position sprinklers to avoid obstructions to discharge of sprinkler. Building 4 / Room 284: Relocate two (2) Fire Suppression Sprinklers one (1) ceiling tile toward east in accordance with minimum distance from sprinklers to side of ceiling lift track; as required by NFPA fire code. Position sprinklers to avoid obstructions to discharge of sprinkler. Building 4 / Room 257: Relocate one (1) 2'x4' light fixture one (1) ceiling tile toward the east. Building 4 / Room 214: Relocate two (2) Fire Suppression Sprinklers one (1) ceiling tile toward the east in accordance with minimum distance from sprinklers to side of ceiling lift track; as required by NFPA fire code. Position sprinklers to avoid obstructions to discharge of sprinkler. Building 62 / Room 102: No changes are required at this location. Building 62 / Room 118: Remove one (1) existing ceiling fan. Building 62 / Room 136: Remove one (1) existing ceiling fan. Remove one (1) 2'x4' suspended ceiling light fixture. Install one (1) new 2' x 2' suspended ceiling lighting fixture at the former location of the ceiling fan to be removed above. Building 78 / Room 244: Relocate two (2) existing light fixtures. Fixture one will be moved one (1) ceiling tile towards the south and one (1) ceiling tile toward the east. Fixture two will be moved one (1) ceiling tile towards the south and one (1) ceiling tile toward the west. Building 78 / Room 242: Relocate one (1) can light fixture one (1) ceiling tile toward the south. Building 78 / Room 242: Relocate two (2) existing 2' x 2' light fixtures. Fixture one will be moved one (1) ceiling tile towards the south and one (1) ceiling tile toward the east. Fixture two will be moved one (1) ceiling tile towards the south and one (1) ceiling tile toward the west. END OF SCOPE OF WORK
