- The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center, Puget Sound is soliciting for a firm, fixed price supply type contract to be negotiated on a 100 % small business set-aside for a fiber optic cabling hardware (wall mount racks, power strips, faceplates, outlet box, ceiling fitting, raceway, connector housing panels, catalyst switches, pluggable modules, security bundles software, etc.) in support of Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station, Far East, Base Communications Office Atsugi, Japan 252-1101. The solicitation is issued as brand name is mandatory for the majority of the line items. The solicitation is issued as FOB Origin with direct shipping to Japan. If you cannot quote direct shipment using a freight forwarder, please do not respond to this solicitation. Delivery is required to be within approximately 45 days or less after contract award with inspection and acceptance FOB Origin and shipping direct to Base Communication Officer, Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station, Far East, Atsugi, Japan 252-1101. This acquisition will be made in accordance with FAR Part 13, utilizing Low Price Technically Acceptable evaluation. This procurement is issued as a 100 % small business set-aside. The solicitation will be issued on or about 13 August 2010 with a closing date of 19 August 2010. The Government anticipates award of a single firm fixed price supply type contract. Prospective offerors not CCR-registered should immediately begin the registration process. The solicitation will be posted to the NECO web site: www.neco.navy.mil under Business Opportunities under solicitation number N00406-10-T-2158. The Government will NOT distribute hard-copy solicitations or amendments. The Government will not mail, fax, or e-mail the solicitation or any amendments thereto. Subsequent amendments, if any, will be transmitted solely via the NECO web site. Prospective offerors are responsible for checking the NECO web site early and periodically for any solicitation amendments. Prospective offerors should not expect notification that an amendment has been issued. The NECO web site is occasionally inaccessible due to maintenance. The Government is not responsible for any loss of Internet connectivity or for an offeror ™s inability to access the document posted on the referenced web site.
