- Description
- The Wilmington VA Medical Center, 1601 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19805 intends to issue a construction contract. The Contractor shall completely prepare site for building, operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish labor and materials and perform work for the installation of a new PA system which will involve the installation of over 400 Ceiling mounted speakers and equipment. Panic Alarm will involve the installation of all panic buttons within the Medical Center and out buildings into the XR500 panic button system. And the 2-way Radio system will require a new radio system with 20 radios. As per by drawings and specifications. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220. The U.S. Small Business Administration size standard is $33,500,000.00. The SOLICITATION issue date will be approximately August 27, 2010 with an approximate response date of September 27, 2010. The solicitation will be an Invitation for Bids and will be issued as a 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business set-aside. The project magnitude is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The solicitation will result in a Firm-Fixed Priced Contract. Estimated contract performance is 90 calendar days from notice to proceed. Firms must be registered with the Central Contractors Registry http://www.ccr.gov/, and the Veterans Business Registry http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/ all perspective contractors interested in submitting a proposal on this solicitation must have a commercial and government entity code (CAGE Code). In addition all contractors shall be registered in the Certification and Representation, ORCA, website https://orca.bpn.gov/. The entire solicitation, including the specifications, will be made available only on the Electronic Posting System (EPS) web site https://www.fbo.gov/index?cck=1&au=&ck= Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review the EPS website frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents.
