- Description
- The USDA NRCS in New York is preparing to issue a solicitation for work authorized under the Emergency Watershed Protection Program due to recent heavy rain with resultant flooding conditions. This streambank stabilization work is to relieve imminent hazards to life and property. The work consists of site dewatering, channel clearing, the installation of approximately 265 linear feet of slope rock riprap, approximately 50 linear feet of rock lined ditch, rock at the box culvert outlet, bio-engineering techniques, and seeding to stabilize the stream bank along a Tributary to Clear Creek in the Town of Collins, Erie County, New York. Alternative payment protection in the amount of 50% of contract amount in the form of a payment bond or an irrevocable letter of credit will be required within 7 calendar days of award of contract. The location of the work sites will be within the flooded areas and as described in the solicitations. All necessary permits and land rights have been acquired. A firm-fixed price award is anticipated under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The solicitation package, construction drawings and specification will be posted and available from this site on or about August 13, 2010. Bid opening will be on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at 11:00 a.m.. A pre-bid site showing is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday August 24, 2010 on site just south of the Clear Creek bridge on South Jennings Road between Conger Road and West Becker Road. Price Range is between $25,000 - $100,000 Maximum performance time will be 18 calendar days
