Description
The Middle East District (MED), a subordinate element of the Transatlantic Division (TAD), US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), will host a Pre-Proposal Conference for the US Central Command (CENTCOM) Area of Responsibility (AOR) Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC). The CENTCOM AOR MATOC Phase I Solicitation, W912ER-10-R-0089 (previously advertised under draft solicitation W912ER-10-R-0011), is expected to be advertised under a separate FEDBIZOPPS announcement on/about August 13, 2010. The purpose of the MATOC Pre-Proposal Conference is to provide an overview of the procurement, focusing primarily on Phase I of the Solicitation, specialized foreign and contingency acquisition areas in the RFP, and potential workload under the MATOC. Attendees will be able to ask the Government's representatives questions about the Phase I Solicitation. Questions in advance of the Conference are encouraged, and will be addressed during the conference if at all possible. EVENT DETAILS: The event will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at the Millwood Station Special Events Center, 252 Costello Drive, Winchester, VA 22602. Doors will open for sign-in no later than 8:00 AM, the presentations will begin at 8:30 AM, and we expect to be completed by about noon. The Government will record the entire event and provide a written Amendment to the Solicitation addressing questions/issues raised. No other recording devices will be permitted at the Conference. EVENT REGISTRATION: Those interested in attending are highly encouraged to register no later than September 8, 2010 via MEDs Pre Proposal Conference website at http://www.tam.usace.army.mil/MATOC-2010. Contractors can register as many attendees as they choose. Non-registered guests will be admitted on a first come, first served, space-available basis; however, space is limited, so advance registration is highly encouraged. Please note that registration information will be made available to the public. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Area information, including local hotels and attractions, is available on the website. Email is the preferred method of communication: MATOC10@usace.army.mil.
