- Address: PROJECT LOCATION. The proposed work is at four separate locations on the Petersburg Ranger District near Petersburg, Alaska. Petersburg is located approximately 90 air miles southeast of Sitka and 110 northwest of Ketchikan on the northwest corner of Mitkof Island. It is nestled on the eastern shore of the northern mouth of Wrangell Narrows. It is serviced by the Alaska Marine Highway and commercial barge lines, Location 1 is on NFSR 6204 MP 1.215 approximately 15 miles south of town center. L1 can be accessed by road from Petersburg., Location 2 is on NFSR 6245 MP 0.100 approximately 20 miles southwest from town center. L2 can be accessed by road from Petersburg., Locations 3 is on NFSR6246 MP 0.300 approximately 25 miles southwest from town center. L3 can be accessed road from Petersburg., Locations 4 is on NFSR6246 MP 0.300 approximately 25 miles southwest from town center.
