- The United States Coast Guard is considering whether or not to set aside an acquisition for HUBZone concerns, for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Concerns (SDVOSB) or for Small Business. The estimated value of this procurement is between $100,000.00 and $200,000.00. The small business size standard is less than 1,000 employees. The NAICS Code is 336611. This acquisition is for DOCKSIDE REPAIRS to the USCGC MOHAWK(WMEC-913) 270 FOOT "B" CLASS MEDIUM ENDURANCE CUTTER and is home ported in KEY WEST, FL. The performance period will be FIFTY-THREE (53) calendar days and is expected to begin on or about 22 NOVEMBER 2010 and end on or about 14 JANUARY 2011. The scope of the acquisition is for the following: WORK ITEM 01: Chain Lockers, Clean WORK ITEM 02: Main Diesel Engine (MDE) Exhaust Stack Uptakes, Clean WORK ITEM 03: Ship Service Diesel Generator (SSDG) Exhaust Piping, Clean WORK ITEM 04: Emergency Diesel Generator, Clean & Inspect WORK ITEM 05: Anchor, Anchor Chain and Ground Tackle, Inspect and Repair WORK ITEM 06: Anchor, Anchor Chain and Ground Tackle, Preserve WORK ITEM 07: Anchor Windlass Assembly, Perform Maintenance WORK ITEM 08: Fin Stabilizers, General Maintenance WORK ITEM 09: Overhaul Hydraulic Door WORK ITEM 10: Renew Portlight Windows WORK ITEM 11: Coil Units, HVAC, Renew WORK ITEM 12: Temporary Services, Provide WORK ITEM 13: Deck Covering, Galley, Red Quarry Tile, Renew WORK ITEM 14: Perform Ultrasonic Thickness Measurements WORK ITEM 15: Chain Locker, Preserve Partial In accordance with FAR 19.1305 if your firm is HUBZone certified, or 19.1404 if your firm is SDVOSB, or 19.501 Small Business and intends to submit an offer on this acquisition, please respond by e-mail to Frederick.b.baechle@uscg.mil or by fax (757) 628-4562. At least two (2) references are requested, but more are desirable. Contractors are reminded that should this acquisition become a HUBZone set aside, SDVOSB Small Business or Small Business set aside, FAR 52.219-3, Notice of Total HUBZone Set-Aside or 52.219-27, Notice of Total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Set-Aside or 52.214-6, will apply, which requires that at least fifty (50) percent of the cost of personnel for contract performance be spent for employees of the concern or employees of other HUBZone small business concerns. Your response is required by 23 AUGUST 2010 at 11:00 am, EST. All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on a HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-owned Small Business set aside or Small Business set aside. Failure to submit all information requested may result in a small business set-aside.
