- This pre-solicitation notice is for three construction jobs at Fort Monmouth, NJ: Repair fire alarm system and upgrade existing dry sprinkler system; Replace exit signs; Repair concrete slab and replace carpet. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision and other items necessary to perform all work required in accordance with the scopes of work to include, but not limited to: Replace existing Fire Alarm System with a new Addressable Fire Alarm System and upgrade existing dry sprinkler system to annunciate on low air, sprinkler flow and install new main O&SY valve with supervised position switch; Replace all exit signs and add new exit signs and new dual light emergency power packs; Remove carpet and ceramic floor tile in affected area, purchase and install all flooring material. Existing floor area to be prepped and leveled with self leveling concrete as required to receive carpet tile. New vinyl cove base to be installed. This solicitation is a request for quote and is issued as 100% HubZone set-aside with a primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) of 238990 and a size standard of $14.0 Million. Prospective contractors must be a certified HubZone small business, as verified on CCR and ORCA. The entire solicitation will be posted on or about 27 Aug 2010 via Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) Acquisition to Business Website located at https://acquisition.army.mil. The required response date will be stated in the solicitation. Please note the response date listed with this pre-solicitation notice is not the actual due date. The actual due date will be stated in the solicitation. The solicitation will include Federal Acquisition Regulation contract provisions and clauses, scopes of work, and applicable Davis Bacon wage rates. The scopes of work and drawings will include details of required work elements. It is the responsibility of the offeror to review the web page for notice of amendments, updates or changes to the solicitation. No hard copies will be mailed. All potential sources must obtain a DUNS number and register in the Central Contractor Register (CCR) in order to transact business with the government. Failure to obtain a DUNS number and register in the CCR may result in the delay of award of a contract or possible award to the next otherwise successful offeror who is registered in the CCR at time of award.
