Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. The purpose of this sources sought is to provide additional time for vendors to respond to the previous source sought notice HSHQDC-10-R-00068(A) posted on July 29, 2010 for transcription/stenographer services. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has a future requirement for transcription and stenographer services for designated principals of DHS for events that include, but are not limited to press conferences, speeches, congressional hearings, briefings and panel discussions. These services are required in Washington, D.C. only. Travel WILL NOT be reimbursed. DHS is looking for vendors with a minimum of 3 years experience in performing similar services (press conferences, speeches, congressional hearings, briefings, panel discussions, etc.). Interested firms should submit a capability statement that demonstrates the firm's ability to perform the requirements described above. The capability statement shall include past performance information, (i.e. description of services performed, point of contact, phone number and email addresses of point of contact). The applicable NAICS Code is 561492 with a size standard of $7.0 million. In the capability statements vendors should provide their size status for the above referenced NAICS code, (i.e. large, small) and whether or not they are a certified hub zone, 8(a), women owned, small disadvantaged and/or disabled veteran owned concerns. Responses to this sources source announcement shall be submitted electronically to Contract Specialist, Sheri Brooks at sheri.brooks1@dhs.gov and Contracting Officer, Johnnie Lewis-Banks at johnnie.lewis-banks@dhs.gov no later than 1:00pm EST on August 18, 2010. A separate synopsis will be issued for the Request for Proposal (RFP) resulting from this sources sought synopsis. It is the responsibility of the vendor to monitor the Federal Business Opportunities site for additional information pertaining to this requirement. Vendors who previously responded to sources sought notice HSHQDC-10-R-00068(A) posted on July 29, 2010 are not required to submit a new response, however they may resubmit a new response if desired.
