- Description
- The work includes replacement of an existing pedestrian bridge, various repairs of an existing quay wall and construction of new docking facilities at the Buffalo Naval Operations Support Center (NOSC). Specific work items include:1. Demolition, Disposal and replacement of approx. 100 Linear foot pedestrian bridge.2. Reconstruction of collapsed and partially repaired portion of stone masonry wall.3. Supply and installation of a new floating concrete dock, access gangway and supporting guide piles.4. Supply and installation of floating dock power pedestal, water hose bibb, dock bubbler system and electric and water supply lines.5. Filling of voids in rock-filled timber cribbing foundation of existing quay wall by grout-filled fabric bags.6. Construction of a riprap embankment and concrete block toe wall.7. Removal of the tree present at the top of the existing north end masonry wall.8. Replacement of select damaged timber members on existing quay wall fender system.9. Replacement of aluminum covers on existing timer fender piles. The contractor will be required to obtain, at the contractor's expense all appropriate construction permits including but not limited to permits from the Army Corps of Engineers, Department of Environmental Protection and all other applicable permits. The estimated cost range is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. NOTE: The command site address should read: 4921 S. Broad Street, Bldg. 1, 2nd floor, Philadelphia Navy Yard, Philadelphia Pa. 19112. An experience clause will also be incorporated.
