- This is a Sources Sought Notice. This is NOT a Request for Proposal (RFP) nor an Invitation for Bid (IFB). The Rock Island Contracting Center (RICC) is seeking potential firms who have the skills, experience, knowledge and capabilities required to perform line haul services spanning several nations in the SOUTHCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR). The place of performance is SOUTHCOM-wide. Contractors must possess the ability to provide line haul services from numerous points of origin to destination within SOUTHCOM. Cargo to be moved consists of Freights of All Kind (FAK) and may include hazardous cargo at times. Due to the fact that services will be required in multiple nations, vendors should have the capability to provide line haul services, clear customs, and possess the necessary entry information for the respective host nations throughout SOUTHCOM. The estimated number of movements monthly is still being defined. Request that all interested offerors provide a capability statement, to include their solution to providing SOUTHCOM wide line haul service and customs clearance procedures. Please include in the capability statement Points of Contact (POCs) who can provide additional information, if needed. Information must be submitted by close of business 20 August 2010. Any response to this notice should reference the following: SOUTHCOM Line Haul Services. No telephone responses will be accepted. This notice is for informational and planning purposes only and does not constitute a request for proposal and is not considered a commitment by the Government. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this Sources Sought Notice. No reimbursement will be made for any cost associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests.
