- Description
- The Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC), Quantico, VA, is issuing this Synopsis of a requirement for a Ground Based Air Defense (GBAD) Compatibility Demonstration. MCSC anticipates awarding up to three (3) Firm-Fixed Priced, one (1) year contracts with an estimated value of $300,000 each. MCSC anticipates release of the Request For Proposal (RFP) within 30 days from release of this synopsis with proposals due 30 days thereafter. The successful (up to three (3)) contractors shall prepare for and participate in Black Dart (BD) 2011, which is an annual tri-service exercise for the demonstration of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and counter-UAS capabilities. At BD 2011 the contractors shall provide a contractor-owned counter-UAS system and demonstrate the ability of their systems to interface with on-site C2, interface with a tactical launch platform, and detect, track, and intercept or negate assigned UAS targets. Additionally, contractors shall report their progress as they prepare for BD 2011, share all data collected at BD 2011, and deliver to the government a report detailing their system performance at BD 2011. Attached to this synopsis is a DRAFT Statement of Work and a DRAFT Performance Specification. The Government reserves the right to modify the DRAFT documents prior to release of the RFP. These DRAFT documents are being provided to industry to allow for open communication between the Government and industry to encourage receipt of the best proposed solution to the requirement. The Government is not responsible for any cost incurred by industry in responding to this notice.
