- NASA is the largest consumer of liquid hydrogen in the United States, and usesapproximately 10 million pounds of liquid hydrogen per year at the following locations: Stennis Space Center (SSC), Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC), Kennedy Space Center(KSC), White Sands Test Facility(WSTF)and Glenn Research Center (GRC). Kennedy SpaceCenter, the procuring Center for the Agencys propellant requirements, contemplates therelease of a single solicitation for the continued supply of commercial liquid hydrogento the above locations for a performance period of two years. Note: This acquisition does not include the hydrogen requirements in direct support ofSpace Transportation System Mission launches.The NAICS Code and Size Standard is for Industrial Gas Manufacturing is 325120 and theapplicable size standard is 1,000 employees. The anticipated release date of RFP NNK10OE03R is on or about August 24, 2010, with ananticipated proposal due date of on or about September 20, 2010. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed. See NASA Specific Note 'B'. The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over theInternet. These documents will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may beaccessed using a WWW browser application. The Internet site, or URL, for the NASA/KSCBusiness Opportunities page ishttp://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=D&pin=76 Prospective offerors shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer. It isthe offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of thesolicitation and amendments (if any).
