- PROJECT NAME: Dennis Reamer Wetlands Restoration MAGNITUDE OF PROJECT: Between $25,000 and $100,000. LOCATION: Osage County, Kansas SUMMARY: This project is for the restoration of wetlands through the Wetlands Reserve Program in Osage County, Kansas. Work will include earthfill, PVC pipe, grass seeding, mulching, excavation, in-line water level control, and erosion control. QUANTITIES: The project will consist of an estimated 24,443 cubic yards of Earthfill; 524 linear feet of PVC pipe (various sizes), sm-in, corr-out; 6.86 acres of grass seeding; 6.86 acres of mulching; 1,460 cubic yards of excavation (core trench); 23 acres of excavation (stripping); 2 each in-line water level control structure; and 624 linear feet of erosion control structures. TIME FRAMES/DATE: Performance time, including mobilization and days for inclement weather is 61 days, assuming 10-hour work-days and 5-day work weeks. Tentative date for posting the solicitation packet is August 25, 2010, with bid opening on September 29, 2010. A site showing will be arranged prior to the bid date. Details will be provided in the solicitation package. Prospective contractors must obtain a Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) Number.
