- Description
- The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System (VAPHS), University Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15240 has a requirement for construction for Project #646-10-108 "Site Prep for ICU." Contractor shall provide all travel, labor, materials, tools, instruments, supervision, and all other items as necessary to perform work for structural reinforcement of existing Clinical Addition building at University Drive to accommodate the construction of the Modernization of ICU Beds project (Project 646-366). Provide all necessary demolition, abatement, construction, and coordination as necessary to reinforce structural elements of the existing UD Clinical Addition building per the contract documents (Drawings and Specifications). The NAICS code is 236220 with the small business size standard of $33.5M. This is a 100% set-aside procurement for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concerns. Responses from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered and shall be rejected. The construction cost range for this project is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. Solicitation will be available on/about Friday, August 27, 2010 to interested parties through electronic data interchange at http://www.fedbizopps.gov for downloading free of charge. The offeror is responsible to download all amendments and other documents from this website without further notice from the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System. It is highly recommended that you complete the solicitation mailing list on the website before downloading the solicitation. Bidders are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments from the website. Contact VAeCMSAdmin@va.gov regarding any problems downloading the solicitation from the website. A Pre-Bid Conference is anticipated for on/about Friday, September 10, 2010 at 8:00 a.m. at VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, Conference Room AE-108, University Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15240. "NOTE: All offerors are strongly encouraged to attend the Prebid Conference. Questions must be submitted to the Contracting Officer by e-mail to Cheryl.Weidner@va.gov no later than September 3, 2010 so they can be addressed at the Pre-bid Conference. Bid opening will be on/about Tuesday, September 28, 2010 in the A&MM Conference Room 373E, Third Floor, Bldg. 4 at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, 7180 Highland Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15206. All qualified responsive/responsible bidders may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency if received timely. Final questions will be accepted by the Contracting Officer by e-mail until close of business Thursday, September 17, 2010 and responses will be provided to all bidders on the Bidder's Mailing List. Questions received later than September 17, 2010 may not be addressed in the interest of adhering to the scheduled bid opening date. Contract is subject to availability of funds. Prospective contractors shall complete electronic annual representations and certifications at http://orca.bpn.gov, shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database at http://www.ccr.gov and be registered at http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov prior to award of a contract.
