- Description
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intend to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Ocenco Incorporated for the M-20 and EBA 6.5 Self-Contained Self Rescuers. These SCSR's are part in of a Federal program called the Long Term Field Evaluation Program (LTFE). The Government collects deployed SCSR's from active mines across the country and replaces the devices with new united of the same exact model and manufacturer. This is necessary because each unit operates differently and miners at that mine must be trained on the specific device. This program has identified unexpected failures and has resulted in massive recalls of SCSR's and improved SCSR designs. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 10 USC 2304( c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
