- Notice of Intent to award a sole source contract. Under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation, Part 13, Subpart 13.106-1, the Rock Island Contracting Center, Pine Bluff Contracting Office, intends to contract for Cable Protectors, 65,611 each to Lewis Engineering Company, 1608 E. Houston St., Marshall, TX 75670-4442, on a sole source basis. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. In doing so, interested sources must submit technical capabilities, pricing, and other information that demonstrates their ability to meet the Governments needs. Detailed capabilities must be submitted to Rock Island Contracting Center, Pine Bluff Contracting Office, 10020 Kabrich Circle, Building 17-120, CCRC-ISP, Attn: Mario Moka/Elaine Nelson, Pine Bluff, AR 71602-9500. This synopsis is not considered a request for bid. A solicitation document is not available and telephone requests will not be honored. No contract will be awarded on a basis of offers received in response to this notice, but offers will be used to determine if a comparable source is available and more advantageous to the Government.
