Description
The NF/SG Veterans Healthcare System, Malcolm Randall VA Medical Center, 1601 SW Archer Road, Gainesville, FL 32608 has a requirement for an Annual Contract for Disposal of Solid Waste for the VA Medical Center. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services and/or supplies prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will NOT be issued. This acquisition is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-43. The solicitation will be issued as a SDVOSB set-aside. The applicable NAICS code is 562111. The objective is to award a single Firm Fixed Price contract to a Contractor who can provide Non-personal services in accordance with the Statement of Work. Interested contractors must be registered in CCR and VETBIZ. Responses should be sent to shirley.courtney@va.gov no later than 3:00 pm (Eastern Standard Time), August 24, 2010. No telephone responses will be accepted. PERFORMANCE PERIOD: This contract will be a base year with a total of 5 years. Each year subsequent following the base year will be exercise by mutual agreement. Each option year will be subject to the Availability of Funds, IAW FAR Part 52.232-18. Objective: This service contract is an annual service contract to remove trash from the Hospital and Offsite medical facilities. Qualifications/Certifications: "The contractor shall be qualified and have the required levels of professional and technical experience to perform the work required by this statement of work, "The contractor must have the equipment, facilities and permits to support the implementation of this service contract. Safety Regulations: "All applicable safety regulations shall be observed during all services conducted in support of this service contract. "The VA Safety Officer shall have full authority to see that the contractor obeys all safety rules and regulations relative to the fulfillment of this contract, "Provide the necessary barricades/signage where required. Scheduling and Hours of Work: "All work in areas involved shall be scheduled with the VA Operations Supervisor. "Work shall be scheduled for proper execution to completion of this contract. "Hours of work. The contractor will perform this work any time of day. "The 10 holidays observed by the Federal Government, are New Years Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas or any other day specifically declared by the President of the United States to be a national holiday, however this should not impact the removal of trash from the facilities. Evaluation/Selection Factor: This service contract must be performed by a contractor that has the technical skill, equipment and capacity to remove trash from the Hospital in a timely manner. The vendor must comply with all Federal, State and County EPA requirements, and the Department of Health requirements.
