Synopsis: Please note that this is NOT a request for quotes or proposals, the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. The Government may or may not issue solicitation documents. The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA New York Harbor Healthcare System is conducting a market survey for qualified firms capable of providing resiliency training as outlined below. Applicable NAICS Code is 711110, with a size standard of $7.0 million. Responses to this notice must be submitted in writing (email or fax is acceptable) and received not later than August 17, 2010 by 12:00pm. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. OF VETERANS AFFAIRS MEDICAL CENTER 79 MIDDLEVILLE ROAD NORTHPORT, NY 11768 is seeking a contract to provide sensitivity training to develop a higher level of understanding of the impact of war on the Veterans and families and enrich staffs understanding of the impact on their expectation and presentation for care. It is to be presented in a creative theatrical approach to visually demonstrate the veteran's perspective and response to healthcare and other adjustment needs Training schedule would require of minimum of 2 performances at 5 facilities (2 extra shows for Harbor staff in Brooklyn), total of 12 performances. Staff at all levels of the facility will participate in the training and multiple shows will allow for more than one shift to attend. Show times will be staggered to provide opportunity for day and evening staff. The appropriate contractor for this program demonstrates the following characteristics: a.Recognized experience doing a theatrical performance relevant for this contract. To increase the credibility of the program, the successful offeror must have earned recognition through published reviews and feedback from other VA or military related programs b.Teaching ability. The successful offeror must have a proven record of successful performing this and similar topics, using adult learning theories. c. In order to maintain a consistent standard of presentation skills, the ideal contractor will have previously delivered presentations to government agencies, Department of Defense, healthcare facilities, Veteran Service organizations, and universities and non-profit social service organizations. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (service disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, Hub Zone, 8(a), small disadvantaged business, small business, or large business) relative to NAICS 711110 (size standard of $7.0 million). Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Responses to this notice should include company/individual name, a service capability statement, examples of similar facilities which you have provided services to, DUNS number, address, point of contact and the size of your business pursuant to the following questions; (1) Is your business large or small? (2) If small, does your firm qualify as a small, emerging business? (3) If disadvantaged, specify under which disadvantaged group and if your firm is certified under Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act? (4) Is your firm a certified Hub Zone firm? (5) Is your firm a woman-owned or operated business? (6) Is your firm a certified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned or Veteran Owned Small Business?
