- The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport anticipates placing a sole source firm fixed price contract under FAR Part 13.5 for REMUS 600 Unmanned Undersea Vehicles and peripheral REMUS equipment with Hydroid, Inc. 6 Benjamin Nye Circle, Pocasset, MA 02559. The basis for the sole sources is complete REMUS system compatibility and interchangeability with existing REMUS Naval inventory research and development vehicles. The anticipated quantities are one Low Frequency REMUS 600 vehicle, one Low Frequency Shipboard Equipment Console, one Edgetech 2200-S/850 kHz DF Side scan, one Video camera. Options for one Video camera, one RECON Software Package, one Double Li-Ion Smart Battery Tray, one 5.4 kWHr Li-Ion Smart Battery Tray, one Kongsberg Multi-Beam Wet Payload Module, one Imagnenex Delta-T Multibeam Sonar, one 3 Function Nose one REMUS 600 buoyancy section, one smart charge discharge system. The anticipated issuance of the solicitation is seven days from the synopsis publication date.
