Description
BOILER PLANT PMI SITE VISIT - 8/9/10 - CASTLE POINT AND FDR MONTROSE CAMPUSES OF HVHCS CONTRACTORS WHOM WERE IN ATTENDANCE: 1.M.C. AVINO, INC 2.JOHNSON CONTROLS 3.NORDSTROM CONTRACTING & CONSULTING 4.ADIRONDACK COMBUSTION TECHNOLOGIES 5.DAMARC QUALITY INSPECTION SERVICES 6.INSPARISK This was a mandatory site visit and as such only the above contractors are eligible to respond to Solicitation VA-243-10-RQ-0423 Items discussed: "Castle Point - Clarification the old York Shipley Boiler is decommissioned and will be removed from the plant under separate contract and IS NOT a part of this solicitation. "FDR (Montrose) - Clarification - Boiler # 1 is decommissioned and IS NOT part of this solicitation. There are three boilers active. "It is expected that the entire FDR plant will be decommissioned on or about November 2011. During the approximate 18 month construction, inspections will not be required on the temporary system. The FDR portion of the award will be a deduct. "The new FDR plant will consist of three new water tube boilers rated at 35,000 pounds per hour and one 6900 pounds per hour fire tube boiler and all ancillary controls, plumbing, electric HVAC etc. No further information can be provided at this time as submittals haven't been received, reviewed and approved by the A/E or VA. "Both Plants - All safety device testing must be conducted in accordance with VHA Boiler Plant Safety Device Testing Manual Third Edition or most current version available. General Note: "All attendees were advised this was a set aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. "All attendees were advised the Contracting Officer would be provided the attendance sheets (and would post) at her discretion, and that the VHA Directive 2008-062 and the VHA Boiler Plant Safety Device Testing Manual Third Edition would be posted.
