Description
Date: 2010 July 9 SOLICITATION NO. W9128F-10-B-0023 On or about 29 July 2010, this office will issue Invitations for Bid for construction of the Environmental Restoration Project, Seven Sediment Dams, Saunders County, Nebraska. (The project is located at Sand Creek and Duck Creek Watershed North of Wahoo, Nebraska in Saunders County, Nebraska) The solicitation will close on or about 30 August 2010. This solicitation is RESTRICTED TO SMALL BUSINESS PARTICIPATION There will be a formal site visit for this project during the solicitation period. Site visit details will be provided in the solicitation. _______________________________________________________________________________ Project Description: (Approx. quantities) Description of Project to be listed in the announcement: The construction work consists of seven sediment ponds spread throughout the Sand Creek and Duck Creek Watershed. An earthen dam, concrete primary outlet works, and an emergency spillway will be constructed at each of the seven sites. The range of earthen embankment at each site is between 48,000 and 133,000 cubic yard. Each primary outlet works contains a cast in place structure in addition to 220 to 364 linear feet of reinforced concrete pipe. In addition, each site will require between 2400 and 4600 tons of riprap. The estimated construction cost of this project is between$2,500,000 and $5,000,000. _______________________________________________________________________________ The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work 365 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bonding documents including the power of attorney shall bear an original signature by an officer of the surety. Representations and certifications are required to be updated annually as a minimum to keep information current, accurate and complete. The electronic annual representations and certifications are effective until one year from date of submission or update to ORCA.
