Description
The synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is a single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access the information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division intends to purchase the following High Performance High Frequency (HPHF) radio and peripheral equipment from Sunair Electronics, 3400 SW 60th Ave., Ocala, FL, 34474-9477. These Sunair HPHF radios are required for use at a US Navy land-based test facility that has the requirement of maintaining identical or near identical fleet configurations. These radios are a proven, currently fielded system throughout the Navy fleet. Procurement of a different radio system would result in duplicating costs to the Government due to qualifications, engineering, and schedule impacts of a new system. This is a sole source requirement for the Sunair radio equipment specified below. Quantity of six (6) RT-9000D SDR High Performance HF ISB Radio suite. The Requirement includes removal of existing radio equipment, installation of Sunair radios in racks, installation of new coupler cables, installation of new couplers, installation of ground systems, and installation of transmission line jumpers. Delivery will be to the Surface Combat Systems Center, 30 Battle Group Way, Wallops Island, VA 23337. Delivery must be no later than 180 days ARO. These items will be acquired using Simplified Acquisition Procedure in accordance with FAR Part 13. A commercial solicitation will follow this synopsis in approximately one week. Award is anticipated on or before 8 September 2010. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Questions may be directed to Arline.Parker@navy.mil.
