- Description
- The Military Sealift Command intends to issue a modification under Contract N00033-04-C-8008 with Dynamic Network Enterprises, Inc. (DNE) to extend the period of performance through 30 September 2010, equivalent to 48 days, and increase the funded amount by $57,829.82 to fund this extended time period. Contract N00033-04-C-8008 was competed among 8(a) business concerns and awarded to DNE in October 2004 to provide Information Assurance support services to ensure all components of MSC's IT systems and networks are operating effectively and securely according to Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Navy (DoN), US Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) and MSC policies and procedures. Currently, the total funded amount of the contract is $21,614,894.67, and the period of performance ends on 13 August 2010. In accordance with FAR 6.302-2, this contracting action requires a Justification and Approval (J&A), as the agency's need for the supplies and services is such an unusual and compelling urgency that the Government wold be seriously injured unless the agency is permitted to limit the number of sources from which it solicits bid or proposals.
