- The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Clarksburg, WV is seeking potential sources capable of providing Nephrology Services. Nephrology services will be provided on-site at the Clarksburg VAMC. This requirement will be for six months with the option to extend. There is a requirement for 3 days of clinic per week and a requirement for 24/7 on call coverage. Please indicate if you are capable of fulfilling one or both portions of this requirement. Clinic: The nephrologist will work 8 hours in clinic per day, 3 days each week seeing patients who usually have chronic renal failure, renal transplants, difficulty to control hypertension, complex acid base or fluid electrolyte problems. Stable patients who can be followed by another clinic are returned to the referring or other appropriate clinic. The nephrologist may provide non-emergent inpatient consultations as requested by the managing service, when clinic is held in Clarksburg. These patients have problems more complex than a general internist can be expected to manage. On-Call Coverage: On call nephrology coverage is needed for emergent inpatient renal issues and to evaluate acute renal failure and determine if acute dialysis is required and if so complete the orders for the acute dialysis. The applicable NAICS Code is 621111 with a size standard of $10.0 Million. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. The Government is not obligated to nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought synopsis request. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. Responses to this sources sought notice should include the following: name and address of company; business size (large or small); identify whether or not firm falls into any of the following socioeconomic categories à ‚¬" 8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned; brief description of qualifications and any other pertinent information, which demonstrates ability to meet the above requirement. Capability statement that addresses the organizations qualifications and ability to perform the work described above. Documentation of technical expertise must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary functional area expertise and experience to compete for this acquisition.
