- THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT, NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. A SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND PROPOSALS WILL NOT BE REQUESTED. The Department of the Air Force, Malmstrom AFB, Montana intends to award a sole source acquisition for infant, toddler, and preschool furniture from Community Playthings. Community Playthings is the sole manufacturer and distributor of interlocking furniture that currently exists in 14 classrooms of the Child Development Center (CDC) at Malmstrom AFB. This acquisition is to stock four new classrooms that have been added to the CDC. This requirement is being processed IAW FAR 6.302-1 ~ Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. No other known vendor is capable of providing the interlocking furniture that Community Playthings produce. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No award will be made on the basis of quotes or offers received in response to this notice. The NAICS code for this requirement is 532490. Additionally, any response to this notice must show clear, compelling and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government. The intent of this notice is for informational purposes only. Any response to this notice must be received at this office no later than 11 Aug 10, by 2:00 p.m. MST via email at melanie.dewing@malmstrom.af.mil
