- USACE, Engineering Research and Development Center-Construction Engineering Research Laboratory (ERDC-CERL) requires a software package for modeling electrochemistry and fluid transport phenomena. It must run on 64-bit hardware and be capable of simultaneously modeling fluid, thermal, electrical, and physiochemical phenomena on the length scale of centimeters to meters. The completion date will be no later than one (1) year from date of award. This Contracts Office intends to negotiate a sole source, firm fixed-price purchase order using simplified acquisition procedures with Comsol Inc. They have the only known software package that meets the above modeling requirements. Request for W9132T-10-T-0127 will be issued on or about 23 August 2010 with a closing date on or about 27 August 2010. Requests for copies of the solicitation shall be made in writing addressed to: ERDC-CERL, Contracts Office, Attn: Diane Biggs, PO Box 9005, Champaign IL 61826-9005. Requests may also be submitted via facsimile at (217) 373-6773 or e-mail to d-biggs@cecer.army.mil. No telephone requests will be accepted. Prospective offerors shall submit the company name, address, phone number, FAX number, point of contact and email address with the request for solicitation.
