- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, intends to purchase the following Sumitomo fiber optic cables and parts, manufactured by Sumitomo Electric Wavelight Corporation: CLIN 0001 - Quantity of 32 Each, Part Number: FTFLD18, Description: 18-fiber Bundle Breakout Kit (with 900 micron Tubing); CLIN 0002 - Quantity of 5000 Feet, Part Number: FB18M6, Description: Multi-mode 18-fiber -- CONTINUOUS LENGTHS ONLY- SPLICES POSITIVELY UNACCEPTABLE; CLIN 0003 “ Quantity of 1000 Feet, Part Number: TC07TP2, Description: UL/CUL/CSA NFPA 262 Plenum OFNP Rated Tube/Cable/Single Jacket -- CONTINUOUS LENGTHS ONLY- SPLICES POSITIVELY UNACCEPTABLE; CLIN 0004 - Quantity of 100 Each, Part Number: FTST06S5, Description: ST Panel with 6 Adapters and 6 Ports/SM or MM; CLIN 0005 “ Quantity of 40 Each, Part Number: FTST12S5; Description: ST Panel with 12 Adapters and 12 Ports/SM or MM; CLIN 0006 “ Quantity of 1 Each; Part Number: FB-RESPOOL; Description: Special Reel and Fiber Respool Charge. These specific Sumitomo fiber optic products are required by the Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) Test Facility to expand existing fiber optic infrastructure. Only the required Sumitomo parts match the existing infrastructure and no other manufacturer produces Sumitomo compatible parts. Therefore, only the specified products will meet the Government ™s requirements; no substitutions. These items will be acquired utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The Government will not issue a written request for quotations as all items are identified on this notice. Delivery is to be FOB Destination to Wallops Island, VA 23337 no later than 1 October 2010. All shipping charges must be included in the quote. Award is anticipated on or before 30 August 2010. Electronic quote submission is required to Candice.Thomas@navy.mil. The closing date for receipt of quotations is 10 am EDT on 20 August 2010.
