- In accordance with FAR 5.101(a)(2), this is a notice of intent to award a sole-source contract and is not a request for proposals. The 316th Contracting Squadron, Joint Base Andrews NAF Washington, MD, intends to make a sole source award to Advanced Medical Optics Germany. for the purchase of maintenance service for IntraLase FS Laser, for a period of 12 months. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334510. The proposed contract is for a service in which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS and a solicitation will not be issued, in accordance with FAR 5.207(c)(15)(i), submitted proposals shall not be considered by the agency. A sole source purchase order will be issued to Advanced Medical Optics Germany.
