- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate on a non-competitive basis with Olympus NDT Corporation for an acquisition of two (2) Eddy Current Flaw Detectors, P/N 9744836. The Eddy Current Flaw Detectors were previously competed, and the Navy is procuring a quantity of two (2) more for the Italian Navy AV-8B Program. These items will be used to perform non-destructive inspection of aircraft components manufactured with conductive materials for fatigue cracks and other defects. The items must be new and come with the standard Olympus NDT one year warranty. Olympus NDT Corporation is the Original Equipment Manufacturer and owns the proprietary rights to the design and development of the required equipment. The Government does not own the rights to current data, drawings, or other specifications to permit full and open competition. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal in writing that may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
