- This acquisition is for water softener for condensate polishing, twin alternating 200 GPM, Model 45054_DW, I unit, 54 dia x 60 Carbon steel ASME non-code tanks, internal epoxy lined, exterior finish paint. Working pressure 60-90 psi, Design Pressure 150 psi, Resin; Purolite C-100 Na Cation: 53 cu. ft. per tank; Brine tank; unit; 60 x 46 in. Material; of construction: Polyethylene; Type: Aquamatic diaphragm valves; Plastic; Aquamatic 958 series controller, Water meter: quantity 1; sea metrics 1 P101B paddlewheel flow sensor; Valves on softeners; material of construction; CAST Iron: seal; operation; Hydraulic/Pneumatic; Material of construction; 316; Diameter; 1.5 , 3 . A complete listing of the specifications will be enclosed in the solicitation. A firm Fixed Price contract is anticipated. The Simplified Acquisition procedures will be utilized. The FSC code is 4620 and the NAICS code is 238220. The requiring activity is the Naval Facilities engineering Command Mid-Atlantic, Norfolk, Virginia (NAVFAC MIDLANT). This office will no longer issue a hard copy of the Request for Quote (RFQ); therefore, a copy can be obtained from website http://www.neco.navy.mil. The RFQ will be posted on 08/06/10 with closing date of 08/19/2010. By submitting an offer, the vendor is self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any federal agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the offer. By submission of an offer, the contractor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the CCR database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this RFQ, except for awards to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the United States. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make a contractor ineligible for award. Contractors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 1-888-227-2423, or via the Internet at https://www.bpn.gov. This requirement is a 100% small business set aside.
