THIS IS AN ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY, DOCUMENTS WILL BE AVAILABLE ON OR ABOUT AUGUST 11, 2010***** THIS IS A PRESOLICITATION NOTICE TO ANNOUNCE that the Department of Interior, National Park Service, Alaska Region Office intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) to construct a water and wastewater system at Denali National Park & Preserve. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Contractor shall provide all tools, equipment, materials, labor, supervision, personnel and shall do all things necessary to construct new insulated water distribution main providing year-round water supply and fire suppression capabilities to various structures; construct new insulated wastewater lines to serve various structures; and construct a winter-use wastewater collection system for year-round structures. Completion date is October 1, 2011. This project is subject to the Davis-Bacon Act. Be advised that this requirement may be delayed, cancelled, or revised at any time during process based on decisions related to Department of the Interior (DOI) and National Park Service (NPS) changes. GENERAL INFORMATION: ****HUBZONE SET-ASIDE**** This IFB will be issued under FAR Subpart 19.13 (Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) Program) and is restricted to those HUBZone concerns certified by the Small Business Administration. ESTIMATED RANGE: In accordance with FAR Subpart 36.204, the magnitude of this requirement is estimated between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. NAICS: 237110, the Small Business Size Standard for this NAICS is $33.5M. CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION INFORMATION: To be eligible for a government contract, contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) government system prior to award. We advise potential bidders to begin the registration process when they prepare their bid to ensure the registration in the CCR database is complete and in-place should they be selected for award (see FAR Subpart 4.11). The IFB will be posted and available for download at the National Business Center (http://ideasec.nbc.gov) on or about August 11, 2010.
