- RECOVERY THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. NATIONALAERONATUICS AND SPACE ADMINISTRATION-DRYDEN FLIGHT RESEARCH CENTER (NASA-DFRC) HAS BEENAUTHORIZED UNDER THE AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009 (ARRA) TO ISSUE ADELIVERY ORDER UNDER A GENERAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATION (GSA) CONTRACT FOR A 50,000 GALLONCAPACITY FUEL STORAGE TANK.NASA-DFRC intends to purchase one 50,000 gallon capacity fuel storage tank. Thespecifications are listed below:*50,000 gallon capacity Tank single wall minimum*Integrated secondary containment for portability *Suitably coated for Aviation fuel use*Water Thief pump to remove any accumulated water*Fuel quantity system to determine fuel delivery and offloading*Alarm system to prevent overfilling*Designed for portability and movement to another area if desired*Catwalk and ladder to access top of tank*Pump to load, unload and re-circulate fuel. Electric motor must be explosion proof.*Must include 300 GPM two stage filter separator. That elements conforming to API 1581,5th edition, Category M. The vessel is manufactured in accordance with American Societyof Mechanical Engineers (ASME) (stamped and registered). The vessel is equipped with awater float assembly which shall stop the flow of fuel when activated by excessive waterin the filter vessel. Also there will be an automatic air eliminator and emergencypressure relief valve, these will be piped so that if they are activated the discharge offuel will be piped directly into the tank. Vessel shall be equipped with a spring loadedwater drain valve.*A relaxation tank built to ASME Code shall be incorporated into the fuel system. Thistank will be 150 gallons and allow the fuel to relax for 30 seconds. *Floating suction installed to minimize contamination*Sample connections shall be provided upstream & downstream of the Filter Separator.Sample connections are equipped with dust plug and interlock valve. The valve preventsconnection of test apparatus while the system is under pressure.*One 3 inch A-Frame loading arm. *One D-2 single point nozzle equipped with mesh strainer, bonding wire, swivel and dustcap.*Deadman control is required to operate the starting and stopping of fuel flow for alloperations. The deadman control shall include 50 feet of cord. Cord to be stored at thepumping platform.This delivery order is wholly funded under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act(ARRA) of 2009 and as such is subject to all requirements imposed by the legislation.These requirements are mandatory and are subject to monitoring and auditing by theGovernment throughout the delivery order performance period.
